The Evolution of Trade Chat

First, there was [Dirge].
Now, it evolved from linking [Dirge] to various spells and talents.
If Blizzard only knew what kind of impact this will have… Dirge lasted for a few months and I still see it at least once per day, but I wonder how long this new [insert spell] will last. The ignore list is far too small to silence all those spammers playing with fire. Yes, I’m trying to think of more spells to link here.
I’m sure a lot of people hope for an opportunity to kick those spammers from trade, but not me. Whatever makes me laugh while idling in Shattrath is good. Just check Arcane Torrent in the picture below.
Wow and i thought Dirge chat was limited to the EU server i was on…obviously not! LOL!
Annoyingly though i can make that dagger…and can i sell it??
We never had Dirge stuff, we had Skullflame Shield on Arthas.
It was terrible. My ignore list is so full.
One of my guild members made the error in complaining about all the links in general chat and trade.
We proceeded to bombard guild chat for at least 30 min and periodically through the night with personal versions of this stuff.
Personally I think it is a riot.
On Dath’Remar, it’s all about the Shoveler. *sigh*
It seems to have petered out after the first few days in Trade, but it was bad enough that I stayed out of the major cities, or switched to my Combat Log if I absolutely HAD to go there.
Bond.. Spirit Bond was awesome.
I play on 3 different EU servers (1 Alliance and 2 Horde) and have seen the Dirge spam on all of them.
I usually have my trade chat disabled because of the sheer amount of spam in it, but this new talent/ability linking made me laugh here, so maybe I should enable it again
(And I agree, Bond…Spirit Bond is a winner!)
I just include this in the same category as the constant stream of Chuck Norris saying in Barrens chat: amusing at times and easily ignored the rest of the time.
We don’t have Dirge on my server… here it’s all about the Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer.
funnily enough it was my mate who saw dirge being spammed in trade one day and decided to say “i’ll dirge you from behind” and the rest is history… i thought dirge was something only in spinebreaker EU but it seems to have spread a lot.

im guessing you play horde, lol alli gets more dirge spam than ever before, AND martin thunder.
…ever 2 days or so you see a warglaive spam, where NOTHING besides orange can be seen.. 0.o
