Yawn Moved

Blogger is a great platform, but there’s just some things I can’t do there so self-hosted Wordpress is the obvious choice.

It took me pretty long to transfer it since I’m very lazy, but most of the things are now done and should be working fine.

Rss feed is redirected and you should be getting new posts without having to update anything (I hope). The posts will however be partial for the time being. It will again be changed to full in a month or so due to reasons I won’t get into here. I also burned the comments feed if you wish to subscribe to it.

Blogroll is for the time being a complete mess, I’ll try to organize it somehow when I figure out how. Most of those links and many other are also added to the search engine, which I totally recommend you try out if you’re looking for anything WoW related. It will not search the entire web, but rather a couple hundred sites and blogs which are all about World of Warcraft, so the results will be much more relevant, unlike searching on Google.com. Also, there’s zero spam results there since all sites are manually reviewed before they are added. You’re welcome to check it out, and contact me if I missed your site, or for any other reason.

I really love the new site’s theme (you can get it here). I checked in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera and everything seems to be working well, but in case there’s any trouble let me know and I’ll get on it.

I haven’t seen many guest posts on WoW blogs (maybe one or two), but it’s an interesting trend and I’m totally willing to try it out if someone’s interested. You can read a bit more about it here.

That’s pretty much it, hopefully I’ll start with some useful posts soon. There’s always a lot of ideas floating around and I’m pretty damn sure you will like a few when I finally decide to write it.

Here’s some stats for yawown.blogspot.com. Since the first post back in september 2007, there’s been a little over 71,000 unique visitors and 121,000 page views. Somewhere around 12% are visitors referred from other sites, and 30ish % come from search engines (95% google).

52% visitors use Firefox, 32% Internet Explorer, 4% Opera and Safari, and the rest it… well the rest.

72% use Windows XP, 19% Vista, 6% MacOSX, bla bla.

1280×1024 is the most used resolution with 44%, followed by 23% 1024×768 and 14% 1680×1050.

Here’s some love for the blogs that sent most of the traffic! Cheers and please update your blogrolls with my new homepage.
