Possibly Season 5 Mace

Possibly Season 5 Mace

Seems Eyonix is always the bearer of both good and bad news.

The good news is, the pre-Wrath patch is announced. It’s similar to before the Burning Crusade launch, it will help smooth the transition and bring in a few new features approved by the Lich King himself:

There is one important and unexpected change (i.e. the bad news):

Players who level past 70 will have their Arena points reset to 0 and be removed from all Arena teams in the level-70 bracket.

There goes my plan for saving arena points. I can’t say I’m *that* surprised, but I was hoping we would get to keep the points. If you have extra points, I suggest buying any DPS items to help you level up as fast as possible.

I’m not certain about honor points, but I’m guessing we will get to keep them. Fingers crossed.

So if you keep a toon at LVL70 and don’t level it (essentially a Twink 70), you can still Arena?

That’s correct. If you stay at 70, you will keep your arena points and teams, and be able to play in a level 70 arena bracket, buy items etc. (but not new items!).
However, I doubt anyone will play in that bracket, since you can no longer get titles or anything new. It might be fun to do an occasional match (especially if you have an OP class), but it will quickly get boring.

Interesting. Is the quote referring to pre or post WotLK?

Post; you won’t be able to gain any xp till the day Wrath hits.
