Patch 3.0.8 Warlock Changes
I highly recommend reading the full test realm patch notes since there’s a few cool non-warlock changes (no more racial mount restrictions, a few dozen new graveyards in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, etc.).
If you’re only looking for warlock changes, you can find them below:
Affliction
Drain Mana now Transfers 3% of target’s maximum mana every 1 sec [...]
Wrath Arena Review
RogueRogue just posted a review of the two new arenas in Wrath, Dalaran and Orgrimmar. Basic strategy and line of sight areas are mentioned, and although it’s from a rogue perspective it’s still a worthwile read if you didn’t get to know them until now. We have less than two weeks till Season 5 starts [...]
Armory Musings Reloaded
Okoloth, known as the author of the Armory Musings blog just launched the new and improved home for his project. If you’re not familiar with his work, he’s pulling data from the WoW Armory and puts it all in nice and (at least for me) interesting statistics.
You can easily check the popular specs for your [...]
Upcoming Changes & Ozzy Osbourne Commercial
Seems like ages since we reported some good news concerning warlocks.
Soul Shards (src)
The first one is related to the notorious Soul Shard mechanic which we discussed previously. The change will go live in the next patch (the one before 3.1 Ulduar content patch).
When a warlock casts Ritual of Summoning, instead of creating a portal, they [...]
The Anatomy of WoW
Can you imagine WoW today without daily quests? Without guild banks, flying mounts or Biscuits? Remember the days when warlock and hunter pets followed us on the ground while we were flying, when there weren't any battlegrounds or arenas? When warlocks could beat rogues, when quest givers didn't show up on our minimaps?
Warlocks in 3.0 and Beyond
Had to reuse the image again since it so damn fits what you are about to read.
I had a little break the last few days after the hosting fiasco, but it’s time for another useless and non-constructive post. Since many of you asked for it, I’ll try to review the current state of warlocks, [...]
And We’re Back
Some of you may be wondering what the fuck happened the last couple of days. The hosting account got suspended due to “high load to server resources” or something like that. Since I received no warning nor was I given a chance to figure out what’s going on (I was nice, I swear!), I couldn’t [...]
Warcraft Outsiders
We got mentioned on the latest Warcraft Outsiders episode, so I thought it would be nice to return the favor. I found out about the WO podcast about a week ago when they had Mike Schramm as a guest, and I must admit it was a really amusing show. The latest one is [...]
l2pvp: Fakecasting
This is the final guide in the l2pvp series, which try to provide some answers to the reasons behind your 1500 arena rating.
We can talk forever about the perfect arena setups, the right amount of resilience or the right gear and dozens of other things. But it boils down to this: most of the time, [...]
Death Knight Leveling & Strategy Guide
I got an email today telling me I should go check out this Death Knight strategy guide. Frankly, I thought it will be horrible and useless, but it’s actually quite a nice surprise. It’s not yet finished, but you can download this 18 page file for free for a preview and see yourself what it’s [...]
