Destruction Gets Nerfed
Blizzard just announced here that they hotfix nerfed Conflagration, so it does 70% in place of 100% damage of Immolate in an instant cast. As seen below, this has severely nerfed the previously powerful 0/40/31 destruction spec that warlocks were flocking to. The spec’s number one damage dealer was conflagrate, and a nerf has basically destroyed [...]
The Great Destro Migration
I know it’s been a while, folks, but I can’t pass up the opportunity to discuss something that’s going to ruin the game for me, so I decided to step forward and rant…and damn does it feel good.
In light of the recent PTR, Affliction has been gutted roadkill. Admittedly, I saw it coming. I have [...]
Guest Post: The Demon Within
Today’s guest post is submitted by Shadowhold from “From The Ashes” guild on Arthas-Us. They seem to be recruiting one warlock right now so hop over there and apply!
All of the recent QQ by warlocks has dampened my spirits and made me seriously reconsider my motivation for playing my warlock, who has been [...]
Guest Post: Raiding Warlocks Are Unwanted
This is a guest post submitted by Mekagojira, a fellow warlock who is looking for reasons why guilds like mages so much!
If you want your thoughts published, you’re welcome to submit your own post! And be sure to post a comment below.
Using Wowjutsu.com, a guild progression ranking site, I have looked at [...]
Soul Shards: Issues and Possible Fixes
Read this post first for a better overview of the issues with the Soul Shards, then come back here.
According to Ghostcrawler Blizzard is actually working on several solutions related to Soul Shard mechanic, so it’s not (just) a whine post but rather a few suggestions I found and came up with. There’s actually a few [...]

Some Notes on Northrend
I’ve taken the liberty (and some time from leveling) of composing a list of things of note I’ve discovered in my 4 levels in Northrend. Some of them fun, others obnoxious, and some downright amazing.
The Bad
TOO MANY PEOPLE IN NORTHREND - This leads to absurd mob-camping, ganking, competition. This is especially bad for Warlocks whose [...]
Warlocks in 3.0 and Beyond
Had to reuse the image again since it so damn fits what you are about to read.
I had a little break the last few days after the hosting fiasco, but it’s time for another useless and non-constructive post. Since many of you asked for it, I’ll try to review the current state of warlocks, [...]
Things to do before I quit WoW
We’ve seen it all before. It’s a craze—a new sensation. People are creating lists of things to do before they die. This comes from today’s generation’s observance of society’s elders’ leading boring, uneventful lives. I, however, dread the thought of my own mortality. Therefore, I’ve compiled a list of things to do before I kick [...]
Shine On You Crazy Pink Diamonds
(Props to my buddy Roger Waters for the title inspiration)
The debate has rage on for years: Soul Shards. What is their purpose? Why are they important? Why is it a pain in the ass to farm them? And so on.
Blizzard has stated that collecting souls fits with the Warlock lore. After all, what’s more evil [...]
