Write

Ever thought about having your own blog? You like to write and you want an instant audience? Now’s your chance.

I’m on a lookout for a soul or two willing to invest some time (and only time) once or twice a week and write a decent post about anything WoW related. That means you don’t have to play or like warlocks, you can hate PvP and like pretty much everything I don’t - that’s ok. I’m trying to cover a broader range of topics here and since I hardly know everything (there, I said it!), I could use some help.

What kind of posts should you write?

Browse around and read some of my posts so far - that’s your best bet. Something more or less helpful and interesting to read to a broader audience. If you feel you need to tell people how you bought your first epic yesterday or wiped in heroic Mechanar, please don’t apply. Honestly, other than a few of your guildies nobody cares, including me.

Class guides, PvP tips, raiding strategies, addon reviews, making gold - whatever you like to write about. Can be just one class or even one spec - as long as you’re serious and knowledgeable about it.

Requirements

You should be able to write at least one post per week and have basic HTML & image editing knowledge (really basic). Decent writing skills and spelling & grammar is a must - I’m not too good in those areas myself so I don’t have high standards. You don’t have to be BRK, but some basics are essential.

Please think about it and make sure you’re serious about this: blogging is a commitment and will take time which could be better spent playing WoW or going out with your friends. You either love it or you don’t.

What’s in it for you

You will get a decent audience. One of the worst things about blogging is when nobody seems to listen - you won’t have to worry about that. I’m always working on bringing more readers to this site, which to me is the whole point. I’m afraid I can’t pay you for any of your posts, but if that’s something you care about I am willing to consider some kind of revenue sharing options here.

You don’t have to worry about CSS issues, SEO, traffic, Wordpress plugins, hosting costs or anything else - I’ll take care of that, and all you have to do is write.

If you’re still interested, drop me an email. Make sure to include at least two sample posts, or a link to your WoW blog if you have one. Write a few lines about yourself, include an armory profile if you want, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

If you have special requests or questions feel free to ask. I’m open to any and all suggestions you may have.

Guest posting

If you have a blog and want some extra exposure to your site, you might consider guest posting. It’s a great way to show your blog to a new audience with little effort.

There are no special requirements, except decent writing skills and some spelling basics, which you probably already have. The post must of course be original and not published anywhere else.

Your name and a link back to your site and RSS feed would of course be included in the post.

Feel free to contact me if you’re interested or have any additional questions.
